(new 0.19 version in extra) I'm surrending... nothing to do... reinstalled and compiled mutagen, quodlibet, gstreamer... anything... if I uninstall gstreamer0.10-mad then i'm not able to listen to internet radio. (So something is working)

I i install gstreamer0.10-flac then i'm able to play flac files...

If i reinstall mad nothing happens... i've tried also to install ugly (from which mad is built)... nothing.

Works for me with the same amount of packages installed as the original bugreport states...

Try this:
python
import gst
gst.element_factory_make("mad")

post the results of that.

Looks like your gstreamer is working then. Try this:

python
import mutagen.id3
from mutagen.mp3 import MP3

I guess it will generate an exception on your system. quodlibet uses this check, as well as the GStreamer check to determine if you have support for MP3.

Hmm, now I'm out of options, your system is haunted, can't be anything else ;)

i suggest that you talk to the upstream developers, they might know a fix ?

Is this still an issue? Has anything changed with the status at all?
