I can reproduce it. Xorg crashes without any logging in Xorg.log.

I installed jack2 to reproduce it. With jack zynaddsubfx does not start.

I have backtraces with jack2 and xorg-server both having debug symbols. But, the crash seems to be happening in FLTK even though the backtraces don't necessarily reflect this. zynaddsubfx-git running the ntk backend from ntk-git fixes the crashed (and looks better). The only strange thing about this setup is that it's unclear whether lash is funtioning 100% correctly and the git version does not build.

xorg-server 1.17.1: http://pastebin.com/F5d5z0aU

If I rename ~/.zynaddsubfxXML.cfg before starting, it doesn't crash until I chose the 'Beginner' or the 'Advanced' interface.

I have a similar problem - after chosing the 'Beginner' or 'Advanced' interface my system is gone and I have to switch it off cause I can't even switch to another console. Same problem when I start zynaddsubfx in lmms.

same bug, a huge bug because it's freeze the PC, even the keyboard, so the "magic keys" ( in order to reboot in a clean way the PC ) is not possible

do you know if an older version of zynaddsubfx can be run without bugs/freezes ?

2.4.4-1 explodes just the same. I don't have any older packages. zynaddsubfx-git (2.5.0.r8) from the aur seems to be OK.

should be fixed, please check it.

Not sure if it was fixed in zynaddsubfx or in xorg
