Description:

Systemd supports "conf.d" subfolders in order to customize configuration.
For example, in /etc/systemd/journald.conf comments say
# You can override the directives in this file by creating files in
# /etc/systemd/journald.conf.d/*.conf.

This is really useful for the distribution, in order to reduce file conflicts and merge at package upgrade, and to localize platform- and user-specific configuration parts.

But the package currently doesn't provide the relevant directories yet, though they are documented in the provided configuration files.

Missing directories (as far as I know) :
/etc/systemd/bootchart.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/coredump.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/journald.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/logind.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/system.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf.d/
/etc/systemd/user.conf.d/

Additional info:
* package version : systemd 218-2

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  Infeasible to do. systemd doesn't ship files in these dirs, so it can't possibly be responsible for the contents.

I don't see the point. If a user want them, they can create them easily enough. If a package uses them, the package will include the dir.

backup=() doesn't understand directories, so this feature request is simply infeasible. Should a package include some fragment in conf.d directory, it'll be responsible for tracking it.
