My bad, i reported that you dont need big files to crash BANSHEE, actually it is a problem with GLIB
crash with this line

(Banshee:2816): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 439 was not found when attempting to remove it
banshee: PeakFinder.cpp:150: int soundtouch::PeakFinder::findCrossingLevel(const float*, float, int, int) const: La declaración `peaklevel >= level' no se cumple.

i managed to get the information from the console and i attached

My solution:

looks like if you remove all your music from music folder and opening banshee again, it will fix the problem in console, but you won't have music after that
also looks like if you copied all your folders with music very disorganized and with some JPEG pictures in those, "like buying CD's from web pages, i buy .FLAC music" will crash Banshee
the safety way to use your music in banshee is importing but having the option to copy music activated

I'm sorry for the misunderstood, im trying to help after all

Looks like a bug in the soundtouch library or the way gstreamer calls into the library.

looks like if you run banshee as ROOT , it won't crash it

After making some experiments, looks like BANSHEE doesn't know where are the files after restarting the computer, the only way to make it work is excecuting BANSHEE as root
something strange, ill keep investigating

Just for information: At the moment I have too little time for Arch, I will do my best to find a solution in the next upcoming weeks.

Since banshee was removed from the repos, I think this (and other open reports for banshee) can be closed?
