The xfe package depends on the fox package, which is version 1.6. If you're installing software from elsewhere, you're responsible for it.

Edit: OK, I didn't notice the second page with fox-devel in the community repo. This package provides "fox", which is a problem.

cannot be reproduced on x86_64

$ pacman -Q fox fox-devel xfe
fox 1:1.6.50-1
fox-devel 1.7.50-1
xfe 1.40-1

$ xfe
...opens its window...

Thanks for responding.
No, that's not the problem.

1- Please, uninstall all: fox,fox-devel, xfe
2- Install * only * fox-devel
3- Install xfe.
4- Now run xfe.

The problem is that when you install the package xfe "thinks" that is installed fox 1.6.
