Hi, I’m trying to maintain a KDE4-free Plasma 5 install, but breeze-kde4 needs the whole rat tail of kdelibs etc.

Would it be possible to split breeze-qt4 off breeze-kde4 so I can use just the Qt widget style without a kdelibs dependency in order to make plain Qt4 applications fit into Plasma 5?

No, this is not possible. The qt4 style is just a symlink to the kde4 one, and this one links to kdelibs.

so either install all of KDE4 or have ugly Qt4 applications?

Seems not optimal…

Nothing Arch can do about this. Ask upstream to provide a pure Qt version.
