Details

In order to make Firefox open irc:// URIs in Pidgin or Finch, this package should install a .desktop file similar to the one attached (copied from http://askubuntu.com/a/179808/223160) and register it with `update-desktop-database`.

Additional comments about closing:  None of the other main distros seem to ship such a desktop file either; ultimately, it's up to upstream to implement this.
