DetailsDescription: The installed Xsession file at /etc/lightdm/Xsession seems to be outdated. In the sources exists a file debian/lightdm-session exists which does the same job.

It's a distribution-specific file, and not included in the released tarball. The debian/lightdm-session file contains some Ubuntu-specific things (e.g. /etc/X11/Xsession.d is not used in Arch Linux), so we can't use it as is.
