Would you make the driver for promise sata 2 chipsets available in the coming 7.2 installer as additional module and further kernels? The driver is distributable under gpl.

Reading this article I learned the chipset was already supported by libata's sata_promise module:
http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html#promise-40718

The current kernel config marks it to be a module:
CONFIG_SCSI_SATA_PROMISE=m

and what is the problem?
kernel includes the module what else do you need?

It does not work. I can't adress my sata hardware. I admit I try it with the current 7.1 iso installer, and maybe be it's kernel does not support this module?
