When I updated to postfix-2.11.3-2, I got the following messages from Pacman:

I did not change the ownership of these files from the previous package install and am pretty sure that they need to be owned by the postifix user (original permissions) rather than root (what the updated package wants).

/var/lib/postfix is chowned in the install script, so that's a false positive. Leaving this open because I don't know about the /var/spool/postfix dirs.

This is not a package bug per se but a new pacman feature. See Allan's mail "user/group management in packages" on arch-dev-public.
