Description:
the nv-drm-343.36.patch is outcommented in the 346.35-2 pkgbuild which makes nvidia warn/error about this in dmesg.

This did more than print a simple warning message to the system log on my system. Cinnamon would not start so I had to downgrade to the previous version of the nvidia drivers. For me this is a high priority issue.

Xfce4 fails to start without the patch, either.
@lots0logs you can use `yaourt -Sb nvidia` to rebuild the nvidia kernel module with the patch.
