Adding printer, the CPU is at 100%, then the following update: "cups-filters 1.0.61-4".
The old package: "cups-filters 1.0.61-3" working properly

probably a duplicate of  FS#42666 

cups-filters 1.0.61-4 is a simple rebuild against latest poppler. you can try to rebuild it again and maybe even with clang
and check for cups-filters upstream bugs and bazaar commits.

Effectively, I now see that nothing has changed between versions 1.0.61-3 and 1.0.61-4.
Anyway the problem continues. I can not add new printer. cupsd and foomatic 100% cpu in step of seeking drivers.
But you can say that's not because of this particular package, you can close this bug.
