Description:
As explained in the summary, a search query shows a neat table with search results. Unfortunately it's not visible at first glance, which of the corresponding packages have been most recently updated. For software with a regular release policy like e.g. the linux kernel, the version string is meaningful enough. For small packages it is not.

Additional info:
nah. :)

Steps to reproduce:
point the browser to aur.archlinux.org
enter a search string like 'plasmatheme'
voila, there's a table... but...
since the version string doesn't mean anything in this case,
we're not able to spot which have been updated recently

Suggestion:
Let us have a column in the search results, which gives us the date of the last update in addition to the version string.

This would show only when was the PKGBUILD or some additional files updated, not when was the last time upstream updated the code, especially true PKGBUILDs for VCS (-git, -hg etc.) packages.

Nevertheless, a user could see at first glance if a package is still maintained.

How would a timestamp help? Check the comments, see if it builds.

That's what everybody does right now.

I'm keeping track of software where it's crucial to build from VCS seperate from the AUR.

Nevermind then, thanks anyway.

I also don't quite understand how having the last update timestamp in the search results helps with finding the right package. When you're looking for a package, you're usually looking for a specific package name or description, then try to build that, whether or not it was updated lately. Would you care to elaborate?
