Description:
The following sequence: click on power button to suspend notebook, close lid, wait some time, open lid and wait for resume sometimes results in the keyboard not working. This happens more or less similarly in two different notebooks (Toshiba P50T and Asus X451CA). The P50T is running up-to-date Arch Linux with X and gnome 3. The X451CA is running up-to-date Manjaro Linux, also with X and gnome 3.

I can work around the problem in the Toshiba notebook by closing the lid, waiting for another suspend, opening the lid, waiting for resume checking the keyboard again (possibly repeating this multiple times).

Additional info:
* package version(s)
xorg-server 1.16.3-1
gnome-shell 3.14.3-1
gnome-session 3.14.0-1

* config and/or log files etc.

Henrique,
Can you get back to me on whether this issue still exists or if it has been resolved in more recent versions? Thank you!

Samantha, this is a long standing bug that has never been solved. I have given up using suspend and instead have been shuting down my machines. I believe I have seen the bug happening last month or so. I believe the bug is present in gnome 3 screen lock, or in x.org keyboard driver (or in both). You should be able to reproduce it just by suspending the notebook while using gnome shell. It's not deterministic, but happens frequently. If you need, I can upgrade my machine, redo the tests and report you back.
