Strange thing is that it was working great before.
It just started malfunctioning out of nothing.
I didn`t even upgrade anything critical on that session.
/var/log/pacman.log:
[...]
[03/30/06 14:34] synchronizing package lists
[03/30/06 14:39] starting full system upgrade
[03/30/06 16:22] upgraded kbd (1.12-2 -> 1.12-3)
[03/30/06 16:22] upgraded mplayer (1.0pre7-5 -> 1.0pre7-6)
[03/30/06 16:22] upgraded ntp (4.2.0a-4 -> 4.2.0a-5)

I`ll try kernel26 from testing although I don`t think it will help a lot.

well as said i don't know what happened on your systemn, just think about what you did and then try to find where the error could be.

hmm talking about hangs, have you done a memtest? last bug about such stuff was caused by bad memory
Comment by UnrealX (UnrealX) - Friday, 31 March 2006, 19:40 GMT
What would you do if you`d experience such problems?

Just went through two passes of memtest86+, no errors found.
Comment by UnrealX (UnrealX) - Friday, 31 March 2006, 20:09 GMT
Huh, I can use KMplayer to watch movies or listen to the music no problem.
Wierd.

Tried booting with pci=routeirq, everything working fine now.
I haven`t figured out where exactly the problem is, but hey, it`s working :)

You can mark this bug report as solved now :)
