Description:
At exactly midnight the whole system froze up, nothing worked anymore. I had to do a hard reset. I assume that it is related to systemd and its journal since it usually starts to get active at 12, doing whatever, causing lots of disc activity. /etc/cron.daily/ is empty. Additional info: * package version(s) systemd 218-1 * config and/or log files etc. The half hour leading up to the freeze is missing. Steps to reproduce: |

What timers do you have enabled? Set them to a different time and
run them one at a time.
I don't really see how systemd would cause a hard freeze. In all
likelihood it's either a kernel bug or a hardware problem. There's
not enough information here to reproduce / investigate the
problem.
