Description:
The new journald.conf-file tells us that:
> # You can override the directives in this file by creating files in
> # /etc/systemd/journald.conf.d/*.conf.

But the /etc/systemd/journald.conf.d/-folder is not created.

Additional info:
* systemd 217-8 -> 218-1

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade systemd 217-8 -> 218-1, and the new journald.conf-file will tell about the folder, but the actual folder is missing.

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  Arch will not carry distro-local support to do this when it's sane for upstream to create the directory for us.

So, create it? I don't expect this to be a widely used feature, especially not in /etc. What's your use case for using this instead of directly modifying journald.conf?

Woops, missed to fill in the titel, some mod who can fix that?

Dave:
That's what I did, but I think it's better to use a separate folder, as stated, to overide sane defaults than to merge the main config everytime. I set 'SystemMaxUse=50M' so it doesn't fill up the disk with logs I don't need. Almost 10 days worth of logs is more than enough for me.

Seems to me like personal preference. Regardless, this is nothing to be implemented by Arch. Please file a feature request upstream so that everyone might benefit from this.
