Description:
anyone who is attempting to get copy/paste or drag/drop working in VMWare guest OS instances will need to do a careful dance to get all the appropriate moving parts operating correctly. one of those is that open-vm-tools' vmware-vmblock-fuse needs to be executed BEFORE the X11 session starts up, which means that it is likely best run as a service managed by systemd. Additional info: * package version(s) open-vm-tools 6:9.4.6-3 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: it's simply missing... |
