DetailsDescription:
The upstream 0.7.6 code (and latest BZR) is broken in locale configuration for Arch; I have filed an upstream bug report and a proposed patch: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-init/+bug/1402406 I'll attach the same patch here I submitted upstream, however it's quality should be reviewed by a real Python coder. |

Yes it is still an issue, but upstream doesn't respond.

Happy bug wrangling day! I submitted the bug/patch 2014-12-14 (almost 6yrs ago) and upstream has done nothing. As the submitter I have no vested interested in this bug anymore, we can close it if the Arch team feels it's appropriate.

@Troy Engel (TE) you might have lost interest, but I use cloud-init in my Linux trainings, and therefore am interested in a fix for this bug.

@patrakov Understood, I see you're a Watcher on the upstream issue; I'm not sure if posting a comment on Launchpad helps with this project, you might post a bug comment asking the status to the upstream maintainers?

Any news from upstream? I would really prefer to have this applied upstream.
