Hi,

I'm running a Synology Diskstation with media server for UPNP/DLNA clients.

Banshee shows me the server with correct name immediately but it's "grayed out": I cannot click on it.

Accessing the media sever via my Android phone is working very well so it doesn't seem to be a server issue.
This task depends upon

Great news :)

Okay, I have investigated this bug further and it seems that you have empty folders at your Synology UPNP directory. If you delete those empty directories, it should work. More information at the official bug at banshee (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=675071) at comment 6.

Hi, thanks for the feedback !

I did remove the couple of empty directories present on the synology server, restarted banshee and the synology server and I still have the same behaviour.

I'm not sure that the official bug you pointed out is the same that I'm hitting: my log is different see the start of the revelant part of it:

[Warn 10:18:59.956] Caught an exception - System.Reflection.TargetException: Non-static method requires a target. (in `mscorlib')
at System.Reflection.MonoMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at System.Reflection.MethodBase.Invoke (System.Object obj, System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
...

I'm attaching the full log.

Thanks.

Just for information: At the moment I have too little time for Arch, I will do my best to find a solution in the next upcoming weeks.

Same issue here. FWIW, I disabled all shares on the media server EXCEPT Music and it showed up and worked somewhat (it only shows 166 of my 1,200+ songs) in Banshee. As soon as I re-add Pictures, Videos, etc to the media server, it becomes greyed out entirely in Banshee. Also, RhythmBox DLNA client works just fine, no matter what shares are available on the media server.
