The problem reported in https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/42817 also existed in linux-lts. Downgrading solved the problem. When it was deemed solved in that report I updated and found that all vboxguest modules now cannot be inserted. Additional info: linux 3.14.25-1-lts virtualbox-guest-utils 4.3.20-1 virtualbox-guest-modules-lts 4.3.20-1 Steps to reproduce: modprobe -a vboxguest vboxsf results in modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'vboxguest': Invalid argument modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'vboxsf': Invalid argument dmesg | grep vboxguest gives vboxguest: Unknown symbol __alloc_pages_nodemask (err -22) vboxguest: disagrees about version of symbol contig_page_data Downgrading linux-lts does not seem to help. |

Can confirm this, at least for the i686 packages. As a consequence of not being able to load the modules, it is also not possible to enable vboxservice (e.g. systemctl enable vboxservice).
