Details

Description: mpv: error while loading shared libraries: libx265.so.31: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

New version in arch of libx265 is .so.35. Please, rebuild.

From what I can tell, mpv isn't linked to libx265 at all. Is is linked to ffmpeg, which is linked to libx265. Is your version of ffmpeg out of date or from the AUR?

Good point! Sorry about that. I completely forgot I built ffmpeg myself a few days ago to include support for vid.stab. Getting ffmpeg from the repositories made it work again.
