Description:
Hello,
could you please applay the patch like described under http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/wmeLDTiiddBYaGtsX8mP on xorg-server?
This enables that you dont't have to call xrandr --setprovideroutputsource after connecting a display link device. You can immediatelly configure the monitor.
I tested this patch with up to 3 connected usb displaylink devices and it seem to work fine.
Patch is here: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/xorg-x11-server.git/plain/xserver-autobind-hotplug.patch

Thanks

Additional info:
* package version(s): xorg-server 1.16.2

That patch is a hack. We don't implement hacks that aren't suitable for upstream. Patch says:
"this is racy and really not what we want for hotplug going forward, but until DE support is in GNOME its probably for the best."
