Description:
digikam 4.5.0-1 failed to start with errors :

Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QString)
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QString)
digikam: symbol lookup error: digikam: undefined symbol: _ZNK11KExiv2Iface14AltLangStrEdit8textEditEv

run from terminal .

Steps to reproduce:
update to digikam 4.5.0-1
run digikam
expected result : digikam run
actual restult : digikam closed with errors and not running .

Is your entire system up to date? Specifically, what version of libkexiv2?

Yes. my system is fully up to date . no other visible problems .
the version of libkexiv2 is 4.14.2-1

I have the same problem with exactly the same versions of digikam and libkexiv2

Seem to have build it against the against the included libkexiv2 stuff in the source tarball. I'll try to get a fixed package out soon.

and the stupid thing didn't crash locally on my clean user (at least not before the first screen)
