DetailsDescription:
Audacity offers options in its configure script to either use local versions of libraries included with the package or link against the system libraries. In order to save disk space, building against system libraries would reduce the size of the audacity package and reduce duplication if the user had other packages installed that depended on these libraries Additional info: Relevant information about audacities configure script and the dependency options are described at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Developing_On_Linux under the "packages and features options" heading. Steps to reproduce: Build the audacity package installing only the suggested dependencies. |

Implemented in audacity-2.1.0-1 where possible. The portaudio in the repos is missing a feature and the other bundled libs don't really have an upstream.
