Probably installing unrar should fix this. file-roller uses libarchive and p7zip to cover most formats, but RAR5 isn't supported by p7zip. I don't know if file-roller uses unrar in preference to p7zip for RAR files though.

Update

unrar can extract the files.

LE. Installed file-roller from source 3.10.0, but can`t open RAR5 archive

I will try to downgrade libarchive

ok, I confirm the bug:
file-roller-3.14.2-1 can't open the file
kdeutils-ark-4.14.2-1 can open the file
unrar-1:5.2.2-1 can open the file

at this point I think this is not an archlinux bug but upstream

NB: I tried with the test archive attached in gnome bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=707568) and surprisingly I can open it with file-roller! so two archive are different, how? I post file command output

[mattia@arch-desktop tmp]$ file test.rar
test.rar: RAR archive data, v1d, os: Unix
[mattia@arch-desktop tmp]$ file rar5\ bug.rar
rar5 bug.rar: RAR archive data, v10, os: MS-DOS

so I think this is a new bug to be reported in the gnome bugtracker

I sent a patch to upstream that fixes the problem, so file-roller will use rar or unrar if available instead of libarchive or p7zip for RAR files:
