Description:
With linux-3.17.1-1, USB doesn't work on my machine. Simply, nothing I plug in shows up in lsusb or has any effect (flash drive doesn't show up in /dev, mouse won't move the cursor). Downgrading to linux-3.16.4-1 (as well as downgrading tp_smapi from 0.41-55 to 0.41-54 since this is dependant on a certain verson of linux) allows USB devices to show up and work again.

Additional info:
Arch x86, up to date
linux-3.17.1-1 , tp_smapi-0.41-55

Do you get a 'ACPI: SCI (ACPI GSI 9) not registered' notification during startup?

Several reboots later, this seems to have resolved itself. I don't know why - I didn't update any packages or change related settings.
Sorry to bother.
