Looks like I've made the mistake of submitting a community package's bugs to the extra category. Anyone mind moving or deleting this task? (sorry, too new here)

I don't need bluetooth, so my task was to disable this annoying notification. I've done it this way:
1.Create directory /usr/share/cinnamon/applets/bluetooth@cinnamon.org and go to it
2.Copy files from ../separator@cinnamon.org to ./
3. Edit the metadata.json to match the uuid to "bluetooth@cinnamon.org". For example, my metadata.json:

{
"uuid": "bluetooth@cinnamon.org",
"name": "bluetoothStub",
"description": "A stub for bluetooth@cinnamon.org",
"icon": "gnome-panel-separator",
"max-instances": "100"
}

Relaunch the cinnamon(Alt+F2, type "r") and delete the separator from the panel

Thanks for the workaround. I'm going to keep the error around in case there's a patch to test out. Sidenode - is there a way to remove the closure request? The task got moved, so my silly error is gone.

I have the exact same error on two systems after updating Cinnamon. I also don't use bluetooth, just confirming that it's a bug that's been recently introduced.

On a fresh installation I experienced this bug. The workaround by knifemaster worked for me well though.

The latest version (2.4.3-1) seems to fix the issue.
