shntool can optionally process data encoded in the Monkey’s Audio format (.ape files) if and only if `mac` (which is also in [community]) is installed. It might be nice if it were indicated by having `mac` be an optional dependency of `shntool`.

Example:

Without `mac` installed:

$ shnsplit -o flac -t '%n. %t' -f CD.cue CD.ape
shnsplit: warning: failed to read data from input file using format: [ape]
shnsplit: + you may not have permission to read file: [CD.ape]
shnsplit: + arguments may be incorrect for decoder: [mac]
shnsplit: + verify that the decoder is installed and in your PATH
shnsplit: + this file may be unsupported, truncated or corrupt
shnsplit: error: cannot continue due to error(s) shown above

With `mac` installed:

$ shnsplit -o flac -t '%n. %t' -f CD.cue CD.ape
shnsplit: warning: discarding initial zero-valued split point
Splitting [CD.ape] (34:51.30) --> [01. Part 1.flac] (17:17.25) : 15% ^C
