There is no dependency on networkmanager and yet it doesn't
work without it.

Reason for closing: Fixed
Additional comments about closing: Added dependency on the applet, not on nm-connection-editor.
This pulls in networkmanager for cinnamon users, but IMHO that should be fixed on the cinnamon side by not pulling in network-manager-applet instead.

Most likely because there are multiple choices out there. Linux,
especially Arch, is about customization. Some people prefer netctl
and other software.
