Description:

I created a couple of ethernet configurations I frequently use and deleted everything else in nm-applet. I can then connect to any of these with no problem. I've set only one of them to "Automatically connect to this network when it is available".

Upon reboot, a new entry, "eth0" is created, with the nm default values.

I tried editing this entry to be what I want by default, but upon reboot, another entry "eth0" is created with the nm defaults (and used, instead of the previous one) and used instead.

Is it possible that you have a service running for eth0, on boot it automatically connects to that?

The only other thing installed is netctl, but it's disabled.

There's a bunch of configs in /etc/network.d (don't know why), but the settings they describe mention my usual static-ip configuration, so even if they're there, nobody seems to be using them.

Is this still an issue with 1.8.4?
