Description:

With kernel 3.17 the imon remote control for the devices 15c2:0034 and 15c2:0038 (an probably other iMON receivers) do not work anymore using the OTHER protocol (no input events are emitted, the module's debug output shows the keypresses). This is caused by a change in drivers/media/rc/imon.c.

Because this was an issue with such an older kernel this issue may have been fixed, but seeing as it may be a niche type device I am not sure it may not have been. Please reply if this is still an issue. Thanks.

The patch was merged upstream, so I guess the bug is resolved. I can't test it though, as I don't have the hardware.
