DetailsArch linux includes re-alpine, a fork of alpine. The most recent release of re-alpine was on 2012-12-21. It seems that the original alpine upstream is alive and alpine even gains new features [1]. So you may consider replacing re-alpine with alpine.

It doesn't look to me like that's the original upstream, just another guy with another fork.
