Title should say "Several files not recognized".

Could you report those issues upstream to http://bugs.musicpd.org/ ?
Please be explicit what kind of files are unrecognized by mpd-0.91.

I also experience mpd crashes.

$ systemctl status mpd # gives me the same output.

Here's what the log shows:

Expect a lot of breakage with 0.19. Upstream has kept the 0.18.x branch completely separate from master for almost a year, which means almost no testing has been done on all the new features and fixes that have been implemented in master. 0.19 is 0.18.x merged with master.

I have tracked down this bug to a specific commit. Upstream bug report: http://bugs.musicpd.org/view.php?id=4145

This bug has been fixed upstream with release 0.19.1.

Doesn't appear to be fixed with mpd version 0.19.1-3_x86_64

We're now on 0.19.9, is it fixed with this version?

$ dmesg|grep mpd
[ 7.559208] systemd[1]: [/usr/lib/systemd/system/mpd.service:17] Unknown lvalue 'ControlGroup' in section 'Service'
[ 7.559223] systemd[1]: [/usr/lib/systemd/system/mpd.service:20] Unknown lvalue 'ControlGroupAttribute' in section 'Service'
$ pacman -Q mpd
mpd 0.19.9-2

Stop reporting different issues in the same bug report.

The systemd warnings are normal: we ship upstream's service file and they use variables deprecated in recent systemd. This is harmless.

Any other issue should be reported in a bug report of its own.
