Details

Currently a user profile page (/account/<username>/) displays the registration email to all registered users. It would be great if users had an option to toggle visibility of their email address.

I'm not so sure about this to be honest, because that's the only sure way to contact a maintainer of a package. If you don't want a specific email visible then you could/should create another one. Hiding it would be easy to bypass though, since you'll be listed in the Cc field of any PRQs against your packages.

I guess it would be useful for users who only register to write comments, vote and flag packages.

There'd have to be a check to only allow switching into "hidden" mode if you aren't listed as a maintainer for anything. I definitely don't want it to be a hunt to try and track down a maintainer's email address.

I have my email address listed on quite a few AUR packages, and I haven't seen any spam come from it yet.
