Ah, downgrading liboil fixed it. But now, when trying to play a file, I get:
yi@veritas:~/ > muine
** Message: don't know how to handle application/x-id3
** Message: don't know how to handle application/x-id3

I have the ogg/mad plugins installed.

We didn't keep liboil at 0.36 for nothing, so the segfault is your own problem. About the unrecognized mp3 stuff: install gstreamer0.10-good, it contains the id3 demuxer plugin. I'm rebuilding most plugins to contain dependencies on the base package they're built from, so plugin should be installed by default in the future.
