Details

Description:
with 3.17 from testing the right click with a synaptic touchpad doesn't work.
Tap with 2 fingers as right click works fine.

downgrading to 3.16.4 resolves the problem

Additional info:
xf86-input-synaptics 1.8.1-1 (default configuration)



Steps to reproduce:
use notebook with touchpad and kernel 3.16.X
update to 3.17 kernel from testing repo

I confirm the same. Sony Vaio F11B4E. Right click doesn't work after upgrade to kernel 3.17

Same issue here (kernel 3.17.2), Touchpad Alps PS/2 on HP dm3-1080ef, works fine with linux-tls.

The same here, another Sony Vaio. There is a workaround but
other things could stop working (e.g. two fingers gestures):

Unload psmouse module:
# modprobe -r psmouse

Then load it again with 'proto=imps':
# modprobe psmouse proto=imps
