So,

I went totally Xorg-less since I have installed gnome-shell from [testing]. The only two ways for screen locking are:

* gdm
* Xscreensaver

since both require Xorg, there is not way to have screen locking using only Wayland.
This task depends upon

This is by design. Gdm is the component locking the screen in a regular gnome >= 3.8 setup.

Yes, but since gnome-shell is able to run without Xorg, gdm is not an option.

Therefore there are no locking options?

I wasn't able to find any related information about this topic. Maybe you can ask this on gnome bugzilla to find a solution to your problem.

As you told, it will be interesting to lock your screen without use xorg anymore.

Nowadays the shell locks the screen, not GDM. Once you've logged into GNOME through GDM, the X11 greeter session will be gone until you log out or attempt to switch users.

That said, the shell expect XWayland to be available, so you can't run Xorg-less anyway.
