There is a simple fix in an Ubuntu branch, nothing in trunk though (yet?):

PKGBUILD with patch above attached, but couldn't test because the build fails for me (unrelated to the patch, vanilla from ABS fails the same).

I fixed the build (attached patch), but I still get a crash on launch with glib2 2.42.0 (attached the log). Unfortunately I can't fix it, so I'll probably drop this package into AUR.

Did you test with both patches? It works fine for me when applying your fix-build patch + the threading one from Ubuntu.

And the threading one linked above just needs the fix pulled in from the ubuntu package release branch.

Okay, I updated the package with the patches. I'll do some more research, why is it still crash on my system.
