Nothing in our repos links to libxfce4util.so.7.

Either:

1) you are not using Arch (and using a derivative distro)
2) you have locally built xfce packages in the past
3) you have installed xfce packages from an unofficial repo

If I wasn't running arch and packages installed from the arch repositories I wouldn't have submitted the report. I'll uninstall all of the xfce packages, reboot, and reinstall, then if it happens again I'll figure it out myself.

My point was that you have installed packages outside of the main repos (e.g. libxfce4util-git from the AUR) or built xfce components from source and installed them manually.

You can also check to make sure xfce4-settings-manager is the one provided by xfce4-settings 4.10.1-1:

$ type -P xfce4-settings-manager
/usr/bin/xfce4-settings-manager
