Please add provides='notification-daemon' so that packages depending on a notification daemon will find this dependency satisfied and not attempt to install another, unnecessary notification daemon. Steps to reproduce: Example: kalu from the AUR has 'notification-daemon' listed as a dependency. Upon installation on a KDE desktop, knotify4 (kdebase-runtime) is not detected as providing 'notification-daemon', so the user is prompted to install one of the 7 packages providing 'notification-daemon'. |
