Hello,

There's a bug in the network script, when a user remove an interface from /etc/rc.conf which was initially declared as dhcp interface, the dhcp running for this interface does not get killed... I've created a patch in order to fix that..

Been working on the new net scripts, doing a sweep of bugs. This one isn't going to be easy as in the new network scripts, net-profiles and standard rc.conf networking have been seperated to 2 rc.d starts.

As a result, if network runs first and kills all dhcp's, then net-profiles may fail as dhcpcd has already been killed for the profiles. Or if someone just restarts 'network', that'll take out net-profiles too.

I'm tempted to close this as wont fix. If a user removes an interface, then should it really be under the distro scripts' control any more? They removed it, which is effectively saying "do not control this".

Thoughts?

James
