The mysql/mysql.h file lists mysql_options4 as a function which is available, but libmysqlclient.so from mariadb is missing this function. This breaks some packages (or required ugly workarounds) from AUR. mysql-connector-c++ and mysql-workbench. The problem is know upstream [0], has been fixed in bazaar [1] and will be in mariadb 10.0.14.
