Details

TLS secured LDAP connections fail because the default ldap.conf does not include settings for CA certificate paths.

TLS_CACERT /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
or
TLS_CACERTDIR /etc/ssl/certs
should be added to ldap.conf to provide working TLS connections out of the box.
