DetailsDescription:
The device ID for Genius (KYE Systems) MousePenin i608X tablet in hid-ids.h is incorrectly listed as "0x5011" instead of "0x501a". Owners of the tablet, including myself, can confirm the corect ID is 0x501a. See: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/v3.11/drivers/hid/hid-ids.h#L487 lsusb output: Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0458:501a KYE Systems Corp. (Mouse Systems) As a result, the tablet is completely unusable. This is one of the most popular budget tablets that is still capable of relative quality making it important for both amateurs and upcoming artists. The bug was reported on kernel.org almost a year ago, and it's ignored or overlooked ever since, thus it should be fixed in the arch kernel package rather than waiting for kernel.org. Also, it is a very easy fix. See also: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67111 https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?62838-Genius-I608X-graphic-tablet-not-drawing Steps to reproduce: 1; Connect Genius MousePen 2; Do lsusb to confirm device ID to be 501a 3; Pen tip will register as mouse extra button, thus won't draw or "click" at all |

I found some old forum posts with lsusb output where the tablet indeed shows as 5011. So it seems the ID was correct when it was included in the kernel, and Genius/KYE changed it afterwards in later versions.
Also, I'm right now compiling the kernel with the patch mentioned earlier because I need a temporary fix and also to confirm that this ID change solves the problems.
