Description:

Installing arista a new python extension for Nautilus is added in /usr/share/nautilus-python/extensions/
This extension is built around Nautilus 2.x and doesn't work with Nautilus 3.x, rendering the whole file manager unusable.

Starting the file manager from a terminal the errors are shown:
/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gobject/constants.py:24: Warning: g_boxed_type_register_static: assertion 'g_type_from_name (name) == 0' failed
import gobject._gobject
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/nautilus-python/extensions/arista-nautilus.py", line 38, in <module>
import nautilus
ImportError: No module named nautilus

This extension should be removed or updated to the new Nautilus API.

Additional info:
* arista 0.9.7-9

Steps to reproduce:

* install arista

I'm the package maintainer, I'll fix this package ASAP.
Can someone assign this bug to me?

Hmm, you're not in the TU Project Group. That should be fixed, then you could take it yourself. Without that, I can't even assign it to you.

Fixed in arista 0.9.7-10 by removing the broken arista-nautilus.py extension.
