Details

Description:
since now phonon-gstreamer is 4.8.0 with gst 1, and many Qt/KDE packages depend on qtwebkit.

phonon-gstreamer user will not be able to play sound if gstreamer 0.10 is loaded.

patch is available at fedora/opensuse package.

Yep, this the sound issue is probably not related to gstreamer 0.10 usage, but to pulseaudio (which is what got fixed in -2).

However, I believe that we should migrate away from gstreamer 0.10.
