Details

Description:
Using ejabberdctl causes: Failed RPC connection to the node ejabberd@localhost: nodedown
Registration of users from the command line does not work.

Additional info:
* package version: ejabberd-14.07-1

Steps to reproduce:
Install ejabberd-14.07-1
Use ejabberdctl to request status information: ejabberdctl status

Workaround: downgrade to ejabberd-14.05-1 fixes the problem.

sudo -u ejabberd -- ejabberdctl ...

or

cp /var/lib/ejabberd/.erlang.cookie ~/

should help
