The "Status" section of a user page is currently only showing "Active", when you've logged in since certain period of time (which seems like a pretty long period anyway).

However, this is incredibly obscure. It would be preferable to replace it with time since last login:

Last login: <X hours ago
...<X days
...<X months

etc.

The status field shows your activity status (can be changed on the "My Account" page). The last login timestamp is only visible to Trusted Users and developers.

Ok, but what's the problem with letting everybody else see the timestamps too?

How would users benefit from seeing everyone's last login timestamp?

Same as with forums; it's just nice to know, e.g. if the user is active, etc.

Is there a reason to hide it?

The forums and wiki already provide tools letting you check the date, time and content of other users' posts / edits. You define 'active' as 'logged in', 'lurking', but I think it's more interesting to know the time of last post / edit.

Ok... but, the last post / edit (which is extremely hard to find out in the AUR, if the person has a lot of packages, by the way) can only be done by having _logged in_ first.

And as some aren't very active commenters, if you meant moving that information to the user page, it wouldn't be more helpful in and of itself. The last login stamp would show the time of _any_ latest action (uploading, flagging, disowning, comments, etc.)

You can log in once and stay logged in for months. I do not think the login timestamp is of any use, apart from administrative tasks.

Couldn't we have both?
