DetailsIn its current incarnation (0.1.7) gamin seems to cause no problems at all in software that otherwise depends on fam. It seems to me that gamin should be transferred to the Current repo and made the default dependency of things that currently require fam.

The point with gamin is that there's no active development in it anymore and that it does only do local filesystems, it doesn't monitor remote ones. Development has stopped because more and more programs start to use the native inotify interface.

gamin does not work with kde keep this in mind
